From a Family Farm to a Global Icon
For nearly 150 years, Finca El Injerto has been a beacon of quality and innovation in specialty coffee. Founded in 1874 by Jesús Aguirre Sr, the estate first cultivated crops like corn, beans, and sugarcane before shifting its focus to coffee in 1900. Named after a local fruit, El Injerto has evolved into one of the most sought-after coffee farms in the world.
Now managed by the third and fourth generations of the Aguirre family, our farm is a living legacy, where tradition meets modern sustainability, and every harvest is a tribute to decades of craftsmanship.
What Makes This Coffee Legendary?
The Rarity, The Science, The Unmatched Quality
Unparalleled Terroir
Grown at 1,500-1,920 meters above sea level, our coffee thrives in the mineral-rich, non-volcanic soils of Huehuetenango. With an average rainfall of 1,600mm and temperatures averaging 22ºC, these optimal microclimates create a truly unique flavor profile.
Innovative Processing Techniques
This auction is a tribute to generations of expertise, where groundbreaking post-harvest methods and cutting-edge fermentation techniques transform each bean into a work of art—crafted for complexity, aroma, and an unparalleled tasting experience.
